Frederick Uy, Ph.D. California State University, Los Angeles Division of Curriculum and Instruction Chair

Frederick Uy is a Professor of Mathematics Education and has been a faculty member in California State University, Los Angeles since 1998. His primary teaching interest is educating future mathematics teachers in both content area knowledge and pedagogical knowledge. Formerly he was a K-12 mathematics teacher in New York City. He regularly conducts professional development workshops for teachers at the local, regional, state, national and international levels and serves as a consultant to school districts, textbook publishers, testing agencies and professional organizations. He has authored numerous articles in various journals and continues to present at conferences.
